We sing on picket lines, at conferences and rallies and on the concert stage — wherever we can bring the joy and inspiration of music to the labour and social justice movements.

Who We Are

Formed in September, 2014, the Chorus is 30-plus singers who merge their voices and their activism in their music.

Some Chorus members are new to choirs; many have been part of other choirs and song groups, including Solidarity Notes, Bargain at Half the Price and Union Train.

“Women on the Line: 100 Years of Fighting” offered a well-polished evening of songs, skits and stand-up comedy this past Mother’s Day. Held at the Russian Hall in Vancouver’soldest neighbourhood of Strathcona, the rousing tribute to a century of women’s labour activism was inspired by female telephone workers — they were the first out and the last back in during the Winnipeg General Strike of 1919….
