If you love singing and want to be part of the labour and social justice movement, Chorus rehearsals and performances can open exciting new possibilities. We welcome new members during two specific times of the year, usually once in the spring and again in the fall. Reading music isn’t required — just a desire to sing and a willingness to learn. We do ask that members be able to match pitch and commit to attending regular rehearsals and learning Chorus music from MP3 recordings of choral parts that are provided.
Left Coast Labour Chorus members pay monthly dues, which sustain the Chorus’s activities and pay our conductor. A sliding scale is used to determine payment, with members paying the equivalent of 1.25 hours after-tax pay per month. For those on pensions or other fixed incomes, taxable income is used to calculate the pay equivalent for the monthly dues payment. The Chorus treasurer can help members in determining what dues are appropriate. The minimum payment per month is $5.
Thanks!
